Open-Set Submission Form

This form is for all paid registrants of the Open Set Competition.

The process is two-fold:

  1. we require that this online form to be filled out and submitted anytime prior to September 1, 2019.
  2. when you receive your confirmation email of the submission, we ask that you print it and include that hard-copy with your book submission, also due by September 1, 2019.

Please be specific in describing your materials, for example; type and color of leather, what is used for inlays or onlays, headband material, etc.
Please explain why you chose the techniques and materials you used in covering your binding.

Permissions

I grant the American Academy of Bookbinding and the Open Set Triennial Bookbinding Competition permission to photograph, reproduce and publish my work for any and all marketing purposes and for use in the catalog. I realize that my book may be chosen to participate in the traveling exhibition, and if so chosen, I grant permission for the book to remain with Open Set for the year 2020.
